DE Fine Filler
Shengzhou Huali CD™ Diatomite Functional Fillers provide product and process improvements in chemical, food, agricultural, paper, rubber, plastic, and other industrial applications. CD™ product acts as an absorbent and anti-caking agent, or a diluent; it can serve single or multiple functions in a specific process.
Huali Diatomite Functional Fillers are available in natural, calcined, and flux-calcined grades. These processes alter the physical properties of the grades to provide specific application advantages. The inherent properties of the diatom, the basic unit that makes Huali diatomite functional fillers so beneficial, are carefully preserved during processing.
These properties include an exceptionally high silica content, inertness to most chemical reactions, extremely irregular shapes, and resistance to very high temperatures and PH extremes. Other functional properties of Huali Diatomite are shown below:
Physical Properties:
High porosity and absorption. Approximately 90% of the volume of our diatomite consists of tiny, inter-connected pores or voids. This high porosity enables Huali Diatomite Functional fillers to absorb liquids up to 2.5 times their own weight.
Unique Particle Structure. Diatomite particles are characterized by their irregular shapes and pore structures. One pound (454 grams) of Huali diatomite has a surface area of over 97,000 sq. ft. (over 9,000 sq. meters), which is several times greater than any other mineral with the same particle size.
High Bulk per Unit Weight. Loose diatoms in a mass do not readily pack together and provide high-bulking values without adding significant weight. As a result, the typical loose weight of Huali diatomite is less than 10 lbs. per cu. ft. (160 g/l), significantly less dense than most competitive mineral additives.
